Our flagship event is the annual Chicago Flower & Garden Show, which marks the change from winter to spring. Presented by Mariano’s, the Chicago Flower & Garden Show creates an unforgettable experience for attendees by presenting beautiful and practical DIY green projects designed to inspire, educate and motivate the next generation of gardener. It is where both consumers and gardeners come to see the latest that the industry has to offer.

The historic Chicago event draws upwards of 40,000 gardening enthusiasts to the Festival Halls of Navy Pier every year and boasts a diverse list of displays and attractions to enjoy, including educational seminars with experts, beautiful garden and landscape displays, cooking demonstrations, interactive workshops, kid-friendly areas and more. With a theme titled CHICAGO’S BLOOMING, next year’s show will be full of city pride and more captivating than ever before.

The Chicagoland market is a premier trade center for gift retailers throughout the Midwest and Flower Show Productions (FSP INC) has announced the launch of the Midwest Collective Gift Show.

This new bi-annual wholesale trade show will offer retailer buyers tremendous product selections within the hand-made, general gift, home décor, tabletop and cash and carry categories. Navy Pier Festival Hall B will provide a convenient downtown location with a floor plan and programming that focuses on facilitating new business opportunities.

Midwest Collective Gift Show will cater to the business-traveler with easy access to and from O’Hare and Midway, while downtown Chicago offers quality hotels at affordable prices, easy access by train and public transportation. The re-imagined Navy Pier enhancements offer attendees new dining options, and compelling landscape and design features that celebrate the centennial of the “People’s Pier.”

Chicago Gateway Green is rooted in the spirit of civic pride and leadership first established in 1986 by our visionary founder, the late Donald J. DePorter. Chicago Gateway Green was founded on the belief that beauty and sustainability go hand-in-hand, and continues to lead the charge in greening and beautifying the great city of Chicago together with our partners. Chicago Gateway Green developed the Expressway Partnership program in 1999, joining the City of Chicago, the State of Illinois and Chicago’s corporate community to transform the city’s expressways into beautifully-landscaped parkways. Distinct from traditional ‘adopt-a-highway’ programs, Chicago Gateway Green develops and maintains sweeping landscapes which feature our sponsors, creating green ribbons of sustainable landscapes weaving throughout the city.

The Green Tie Ball, Chicago Gateway Green’s signature fundraising gala made its first appearance in 1992. What began as a 500-person party held in the street is now one of the most well-known and exclusive charity fundraising events in Chicago, attended annually by the city’s most influential professionals. Each year, the event is marked by scores of Chicago’s top restaurants, multiple stages of eclectic entertainment; and a unique indoor-outdoor venue to celebrate the green spaces of the city. As Chicago Gateway Green evolves, the fundamentals are the same. Our corporate founders led by example and proved that business leaders do care about the communities they live and work in. Then and now we rely on that commitment and spirit of service to support the work of creating a beautiful and green Chicago that can be sustained well into the future.

The Get Growing Foundation provides year-round educational outreach to the public, with a particular focus on today’s youth. Organized in connection with the annual Chicago Flower & Garden Show, we raise awareness and funds for hands-on programs specifically designed to cultivate understanding and provide practical advice to all of our participants in the areas of horticulture, gardening and conservation.

The educational mission of the Get Growing Foundation doesn’t stop with young gardeners. The Get Growing Series invites experienced and talented speakers to share their knowledge on gardening, horticulture and conservation with adult attendees of the show. Each day there are new and exciting learning opportunities found at the Gardening Live! stage and in the seminar classrooms.
